I’ve been a teacher in Maine for nearly fifeteen years, and in Washington and Vermont before that. For the last 8 years I served as the owner and director of my own food & garden focused preschool program in Portland’s West End. Throughout my career, I’ve also developed and led teacher education workshops, and had a whole business doing that prior to launching my school. I’m a second year homeschool parent and I love that I get to teach and learn with my daughter every day in our homeschool garden and studio classroom.

I have a B.A. in Psychology, and an Interdisciplinary Master’s of Education from the University of Vermont, with a concentration in Personaily & Learning Style. I’ve been gardening since I was a kid helping in my mom’s garden back home in Vermont, and the seed to table process has been the focus of my attention for all of my adult life. I’m so grateful to slow down and settle into this work over the next few years of learning at home with my plant and bug loving 8 year old.
